Gap Inc. named a top technology innovator

Yesterday, InformationWeek came out with its annual ranking of the top 500 technology innovators in the U.S. 

Gap Inc. is ranked No. 3 – and the top retailer on the list – for the company’s Ship from Store technology and other omni-channel strategies. These innovations enable our Gap Inc. brands to deliver a seamless customer experience whether customers shop online, on-the-go or in stores, or any combination of these.

This is the 25th year for the annual InformationWeek rankings, and the Digital Business theme of this year’s edition couldn’t be more appropriate. It acknowledges the importance that customer-focused technology plays in today’s business environment.

As leaders in the company’s Growth, Innovation and Digital (GID) division, we continue to build upon the team’s online success and technology advances.  GID is Gap Inc’s innovation engine, dedicated to managing the company’s up-and-coming brands and finding cutting-edge ways to improve the shopping experience for customers.

At the end of the day, we’re all about inventing, reinventing, testing and learning what’s best for our customers, and we’re honored to be recognized for our efforts by InformationWeek 500.

Hey Gap.com. I have to say that your products have really inspired me. For months now, I've been pulling together looks from various online stores and Gap.com has really helped me to create fun looks for young women.
