Old Navy Serves up Denim Favorites

It wasn’t the typical bar scene on Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles on a Thursday night. This one was serving up denim instead of cocktails, with the help of a few familiar friends.

Jennie Garth and Luke Perry, stars of Old Navy’s recent back-to-school campaign, came out to support the Bluesology Bar: a pop-up denim experience in the style of a western chic watering hole. Guests poured in to check out the new adult denim from Old Navy, find their perfect fit and walk out with a pair of their own – for free.

For women, there were three different fits in both skinny and bootcut styles. And, for men, there were four different fits in a variety of washes.  With all of those choices, I was happy to get some advice from Old Navy Fitologists, specially trained in picking the most flattering styles for all different shapes. (Luke looked great in classic cut, I must add.)

Jennie got in on the action shouting, “Who wants jeans?!” while standing behind the stacks of denim. The looks on her fans' faces were priceless as the former teen idol handed out her favorite styles.

Her pick for me? -  skinny light-washed.

Of course, leave it to the Old Navy Funnovations Inc. team to think of more fun things to do  like … decorating jeans at a denim art table and dancing to music by “Them Jeans.”

The Bluesology Bar was open to the public all weekend.  And based on the turnout – there are thousands of people in L.A. wearing new Old Navy jeans!

This is such a cool idea! Old Navy is already one of the few places that makes a good pair of jeans that actually fits me! Although not good for every occasion, girls skinny jeans are some of my favorites to wear, and I wish I could have made it there to get a free pair!
